Updated Lifeguard Information For The 2020 Season

Dear lifeguards and parents,

Please read carefully if you interested in being a guard at Pomona this summer.  This notice is taking the  place of  the meeting that was scheduled for 3/17 at the community center due to COVID-19 protocols.

Pomona wants to do our part in helping your family and the community stay safe; this year we will be conducting the hiring process electronically. Below you will find information regarding lifeguard courses, a document outlining lifeguard expectations and guidelines, and google form. Interested parties have until the 1st of April to fill out the Google Form. I understand that this may leave you with lots of questions, I encourage you to read through the lifeguard expectations and guidelines document and then email me if you have any questions.

In lieu of the guard meeting at the community center we will be holding a meeting at pomona before the first lifeguard cleanup day. It is my hope that I can answer everyone’s questions over email but understand that this may not be possible. I look forward to seeing you all on May 2nd.

Lifeguard Cleanup Days:
Cleanup days are a great way to show me that you are serious about working this summer and a fantastic way to meet your co-workers or get back in touch. Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy shoes. Lastly, dress warm! It is almost always freezing on cleanup days. I look forward to seeing all the lifeguards who can make it!

Day 1: Saturday May 2nd 10am to 1pm
Day 2: Saturday May 9th 9am to 1pm
