We are trying something new this fall, and we are calling it Football Funday Sundays. We will be watching Eagles games in the Pavilion at the club for the next three Sundays in September. All members are welcome.
Some members have donated a 55 inch television for viewing football games. The pools have been covered. Barbecue grills will be available cooking and the playground is open for kids to play. We will have lifeguards working at the pool to make sure the bathrooms are clean and any children are safe. To cover the cost of the lifeguards we are charging every family that comes to the pool $5 per Sunday. Guests are also welcome, they will be charged the standard rate of $5 per person. We will be having these events the next three Sundays in September. The club will be open from 12 to 5 p.m. during these days.
We are all very saddened by the passing of Pomona member Mark Lilley. Mark was the Dolphin's swim meet announcer, a former Board of Trustees member, a friend to many, and always cheering and supporting all all swimmers. Mark was committed to Pomona Swim Club, whether setting up for a swim meet or cleaning up and improving the grounds. Mark was an inspiration to all and will be greatly missed.
Don't fret, we have one more day with our PoMoNa friends! Final Day is Saturday, September 8th (weather dependent) from 12-9:30! .......Unless you want to pitch in a bit for cleanup/hibernation- we want members to know, all are welcome to help on Sunday- just let Dan, Denise, Alex or a board member know you might be able to give us an hour of your time! ...
